Connie S (Lowe) Harlan

September 21, 1958 — December 4, 2023

Chalmers formerly of North Manchester

Connie S. Harlan, 65, Chalmers, Indiana, formerly of North Manchester, passed away December 4, 2023, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East in Lafayette. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 21, 1958, Connie was the daughter of Bill and Betty (Gamblin) Lowe.

Connie graduated from Knox High School in Knox, Indiana, in 1976. She never had any children but loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own. On December 28, 1998, she married Donald E. Harlan. The two were wed for twenty-three years before Donald passed away on January 12, 2022. Connie had a soft spot for stray cats, which she often fed and sometimes she adopted. She enjoyed watching birds and squirrels as well as a good thriller on television, court TV, and crime shows. Connie moved to Chalmers to be closer to her sister after Donald died.

The loving memory of Connie S. Harlan will be forever cherished by her brother, Aaron Lowe, Knox; sisters, Denise (Mike) Janiczak, Elizabethtown, Tennessee, Faith (David) Willoughby, Monticello, Indiana, and Elaine Lowe, Cameron, North Carolina; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, whom she was very close to. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Betty Lowe; husband, Donald Harlan; and brother, Billy Lowe.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held in the early spring.

The family of Connie S. Harlan has entrusted McKee Mortuary with care and final arrangements.
