Wilson E. "Gene" McCullough, 80, Silver Lake, IN died at 8:07 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 in his residence. He was born at Pierceton, IN on December 4, 1929 to Willis Eugene & Minnie E. (Brubaker) McCullough. On June 29, 1957 he married Rozella "Rosie" Trisler. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Karl E. McCullough, Silver Lake, IN and a daughter Mrs. Tom (Tammy) Simpson, Silver Lake, IN. Four sisters, Peggy McCullough, North Manchester, IN; Jan Hantleman, Mrs. Larry (Judy) Booth and Karen Sheibley, all of Ft. Wayne, IN. Two granddaughters, Mrs. Ric (Jessica) Carnahan, Cleveland, OH and Mrs. David (Tassie) Presson, Gainesville, MO. One brother is deceased. Gene served in the US Air-Force during Korea and was a member of the American Legion Post #402, Laketon, IN. He was a 1947 graduate of Laketon High School and belonged to a group of school mates known as the East End Gang. He was a member of Christian Heritage Church, Wabash, IN. He worked for Erie-Lackawana Railroad and later retired from General Tire, Wabash, IN. Services will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 4 - 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the mortuary. Pastor Tim Prater will officiate and burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, IN.
