William D. Brown, 80, North Manchester, IN died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 6:05 a.m. in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw, IN. He was born June 11, 1930 in Sterling, IL to Dewey Oliver & Lilly Olive (Webb) Brown. He graduated in 1948 from Milledgeville (IL) High School. William served in the US Navy. He was a milk truck driver for Kraft Foods, Milledgeville, IL, a salesman for Wester-Southern Life Insurance Company and retired as a truck driver from Heckman Bindery, North Manchester, IN. On March 19, 1950 he married W. Lorraine Reitzel. She died July 13, 2008. He was a former member of T.A.P., North Manchester, IN and a former member of Chain-Of-Lakes Barbershop Quartet. William was a certified white-faced brethren clown. He and his wife protrayed Santa & Mrs. Claus for various groups and organizations. He is survived by one son, Gregg (Debbie) Brown, Sidney, IN; two daughters, Colleen Brown, North Manchester, IN and Lorry (Scott) Garber, North Manchester, IN; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. One grandchild is deceased. Services will be Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut Street, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call Thursday, March 11, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the church. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.
