Wanda L. Simcoe

Wanda L. Simcoe, 84, North Manchester, IN died at 7:58 a.m. Sunday, November 4, 2012 at her residence. She was born at Warsaw, Indiana on October 4, 1928 to Roy & Bertha (Holderman) Smith. She graduated from Mentone High School in 1946 and Ravenscroft Beauty College in 1948. On March 19, 1948 she married Kenneth D. Simcoe. He died March 31, 1993. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star # 88, Warsaw, IN, Mentone United Methodist Church, a charter and lifetime member of World War II Memorial. She loved reading, baking, her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Surviving are three sons, Kenney D. Simcoe, North Manchester, IN; Steven B. (Becky) Simcoe, Ft. Henry, OH; Sam R. (Shirley) Simcoe, North Manchester, IN. A daughter, JoLynn (Bob) Robison, North Manchester, IN. 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Two brothers, John (Jill) Smith, Warsaw,IN and Charles (Diane) Smith, Claypool, IN. A sister, Carol (Mike) Engle, Leesburg, IN. A son Robert Simcoe, a brother Walter Smith, and a grandchild are deceased. Services will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call in Wednesday, November 7, from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. at McKee Mortuary. Rev. Kevin DeKoninck will officiate and burial will follow at Mentone Cemetery, Mentone, IN.
