Virgil R. Frantz

Virgil R. Frantz, 93, North Manchester, IN died at 3:43 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 in Peabody Healthcare Center. He was born at Wabash County, Indiana on June 12, 1920 to Glen R. & Opal May (Anderson) Frantz. On August 2, 1946 he married Nellie P. Barton. She died November 14, 1994. On August 29, 1996 he married Karen (Metzger) Bennett. She survives. Also surviving is a son, Joe Frantz, Tipp City, OH. A daughter, Gail (Fred) Gish, Claypool, IN. Two step sons, LaMar Bennett, North Manchester, IN and LaMont Bennett, Sidney, IN. A step daughter, Lisa Bennett, Nappanee, IN. Nine grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Three sisters, Ruth (Dennis) Landes, New Carlisle, OH; Velma (Don) Hantelman, Silver Lake, IN; Carolyn Frantz, North Manchester, IN. He was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester, IN and was a lifelong farmer. Services will be held Sunday, September 15, 2013 in the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Sunday, September 15, from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the church. The Home Brethren will officiate and burial will follow in the Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, North Manchester. Arrangements are entrusted to McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. For those who wish the honor the memory of Virgil R.
