Velma Mae Hofmann, 88, North Manchester, IN died at 4:10 a.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. She was born April 9, 1925 in Washington Township, Whitley County, IN to Ervin & Margarethe (Kunberger) Pook. On July 29, 1951 she married Erich Hofmann. He died January 2, 1999. Velma was a homemaker. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth (Paul) Contegiacomo, Corrales, NM and Carole (Ken) Barlow, Hollywood, MD and two granddaughters, Nicole Contegiacomo, Corrales, NM and Natasha Barlow, Hollywood, MD. Two brothers are deceased. No calling or services are planned at this time.
