Thomas W. Platt

Thomas W. Platt, 62, North Manchester, IN died at 5:10 p.m. Thursday, November 25, 2010 in Parkview Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born at Huntington, Indiana on October 16, 1948 to Roy & Ruth (Switzer) Platt. On October 25, 1969 he married Charlene J. Langston. She died February 24, 1990. On November 30, 1991 he married Paula J. Kerschner. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Wade T. Platt, North Manchester, IN and a daughter, Lynette (Vinson) Calloway, South Whitley, IN. Two grandchildren and a brother, John (Marilyn) Platt, Roanoke, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Bryan J. Platt. Tom graduated from Huntington High School and furthered his education at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. He was a Physicians Assistant at Manchester Clinic and South Whitley Medical Clinic. Later he was a medical supply salesman. He was a US Navy veteran during Vietnam. Services will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 2 - 8 p.m. at the mortuary . Rev. Kurt Stout will officiate and burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley St., North Manchester, IN.
