Ted J. Lambert

Ted J. Lambert, 79, North Manchester, IN died at 1:38 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015 in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. He was born September 4, 1935 in North Manchester, IN to William B. & Hazel (Glaze) Lambert. He graduated from Central High School in 1953. Ted served in the US Army from 1954-1956 in Germany. On April 6, 1957 he married M. Louise Monce. She died January 4, 2001. He then married Rebecca K. Wright on June 14, 2003. He retired from GTE, Wabash, IN in 1998. He was a bus driver for Manchester Community School System for 10 years retiring in 2012. He was a member of Olive Branch Church of God, Roann, IN. He liked to tell stories, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was a good Christian man. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca K. Lambert, North Manchester, IN; three sons, Steven M. Lambert, Plainfield, IN, Jay (Robyn) Lambert, Claypool, IN and Greg A. Wright, Indianapolis, IN; two daughters, Robin S. Lambert, Warsaw, IN and Mindy S. Benton Flora, North Manchester, IN; two brothers, Wayne (Phyllis) Lambert, Fort Wayne, IN and Raymond (Margaret) Lambert, Syracuse, IN; one sister, Lenora Norris, Larwill, IN; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. One son, one daughter, ten brothers and seven sisters are deceased. Family and friends may call Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN and one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Services Friday, June 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Olive Branch Church of God, 4581 E 1200 N, Roann, IN. Pastor Jeff Sumner will officiate. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery, Roann, IN.
