Stanton J. Heeter

Stanton J. Heeter, 77, Roann, IN went to be with his heavenly Father at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Duke's Memorial Hospital, Peru, IN. He was born in Laketon, IN on November 22, 1933 to Stanton H. & Mary L. (Sickafus) Heeter. He was a 1951 Wabash High School graduate. On June 3, 1969 he married Mary Alene Smith. He, with his wife, owned and operated Heeter General Contracting, Roann, IN for over 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, cooking for others and working in his garden. He liked to go to family reunions and loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was the first to help anyone in need that he could. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alene Heeter, Roann, IN; Five sons, Thomas E. (Kellye) Heeter, Edmonds, WA, Scot A. Heeter, Roann, IN, Phillip S. (Barb) Heeter, Peru, IN, Brian K. Heeter, North Manchester, IN, John M. (Shawna) Heeter, Roann, IN; Six daughters, Mary Anna Coe, Wabash, IN, Laura May (Mike) Bradley, Ijamsville, IN, Miriam Ann (Junior Hiner) Linkenhoker, Ijamsville, IN, Marianne Chloe Bolin, Wabash, IN, Michelle (David) Fulkerson, Wabash, IN, Sherry A. (Gale) Courtney, Roann, IN; One brother, Donald B. (Mary) Heeter, Fort Myers, FL; One sister, Sharon (Thurman) Easterday, Ijamsville, IN; Twenty-four grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. One sister, Shirley Swinger, and one granddaughter are deceased. Friends and family may call Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN. Services will be Friday, March 18, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, IN. Pastor Lowell Burris will officiate. Burial will be in Laketon Cemetery, Laketon, IN.
