Russell Farley Jr., 85, North Manchester, IN formerly of Sidney, IN died at 3:22 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in Wabash County Hospital, Wabash, IN. He was born April 4, 1926 in Liberty Mills, IN to Russell & Veva (Rickert) Farley Sr. He graduated from Sidney High School, Sidney, IN class of 1944. On April 7, 1946 he married Devona M. Warner. He was a self employed farmer and was a foreman in the cabinet department of Whitley Manufacturing for 25 years retiring in 1990. He and his wife lived on the same farm in Monroe Township for 48 years. He was a 20 year member of the Monroe Township Advisory Board and was the representative of Monroe Township for the Kosciusko Community Hospital Board for 5 years. He was a charter member of the Sidney Lions Club and a member of Missionary Church, North Manchester, IN. He is survived by his wife, Devona M. Farley, North Manchester, IN; one son, Blaine W. (Becky) Farley, Fishers, IN; one daughter, Linda (George) Geaugh, Pierceton, IN; two sisters, Arlene Merriett, North Manchester, IN and Mrs. Jim (Barbara) Sorlie, Fort Wayne, IN; four grandchildren, Darren Geaugh, South Whitley, IN, Melissa Mishler, Columbia City, IN, Krysten Farley, Chicago, IL and Michael Farley, Fishers, IN and four great grandchildren. One sister, Rosealene Whaley, is deceased. Family and friends may call Friday, March 16, 2012 from 9:00~11:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, IN. Services will be Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchestr, IN. Pastor Dan Binkley will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.
