Rodger E. Hoerdt

Rodger E. Hoerdt, 65, North Manchester, IN died at 10:49 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at Wabash County Hospital, Wabash, IN. He was born March 4, 1947 in Wabash, IN to Russell E. "Pete" & Geneva V. (Sroufe) Hoerdt. He had worked at the former Woodcraft Co., North Manchester, IN until its closing and then he worked at Manchester Tool & Die. He was a member of New Beginnnings Community Church, Fort Wayne, IN. Rodger was an avid sports fan, especially I.U. Basketball. He liberally contributed to hunger and rescue missions. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, one half-sister, Lana Bosworth, Florida and one brother-in-law, Larry Coker, North Manchester, IN. One brother, Gerald L. Hoerdt and one half sister, Jill Coker, are deceased. Services will be Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 1:00 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services. Pastor Roger Abels will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.
