Robert L. "Bob" Moery Jr., 64, North Manchester, IN went to his Savior at 6:55 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, IN. He was born at Detroit, Michigan on November 7, 1948 to Robert L. & Helen (Mileski) Moery Sr. He graduated from Mumford High School at Detroit in 1967, attended Wayne State University and earned an Associate's Degree in Electronics from ITT Tech in 1976. In 1970 Bob joined the United States Navy and served as a Radioman. He was honorably discharged four years later. He was a technician with Verizon, formerly known as GTE, from 1974 until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, North Manchester. Surviving are a son Robert (Amanda) Moery, Parker City, IN and a daughter, Ellen Moery, Cookeville, TN. Two grandchildren, Noah Riley Moery, age 3 & Lillie Grace Moery, age 16 months, both of Parker City, IN. One brother, Steve (Jane) Moery, Clearwater, FL. Services will be held December 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, 113 W. Main Street, North Manchester, IN. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Ladona Webb will officiate and burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN. Arrangements are entrusted to McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Bob Moery, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 113 W. Main Street, North Manchester, IN 46962.
