Robert O. Gearhart, 91, Warsaw, Indiana and formerly of Silver Lake, Indiana died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, August 25, 2013 in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, IN. He was born May 21, 1922 at North Manchester, IN to Ralph R. & Edna (Brown) Gearhart. On October 17, 1943 he married Lois M. Montel. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Thomas L. (Elaine) Gearhart and Robert K. (Pam) Gearhart, both of Silver Lake, IN. A daughter, Elaine K. (Dan) Drabenstot, Omaha, NE. Six grandchildren, Jacque (Al) Kruger, Todd (Jennifer) Gearhart, Jason (Jennie) Gearhart, Scott (Kym) Drabenstot, Kim (Jim) Zellers, and Shawn Gearhart. 13 great grandchildren also survive. Bob was a 1940 graduate of Silver Lake High School and served his country in the United States Army during WW II serving from 1942-1946. He enjoyed spending winters in Sebring, Florida for 25 years. He was a farmer, raised cattle, and for 31 years was in plant protection at International Harvester in Fort Wayne, IN. He attended Warsaw Wesleyan Church. Services will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, August 27, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary. Pastor Gale Janofski and Pastor Andy Weaver will officiate and burial with military rites will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley Street, North Manchester, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Robert O. Gearhart, memorial contributions may be made to the Warsaw Wesleyan Church, 2402 W. Old Road 30, Warsaw, IN 46580.
