Richard E. Overholser, 71, North Manchester, IN died at 12:55 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Golden Living Center, Kokomo, IN. He was born February 17, 1944 in Huntington County, IN to Walter E. & Nettie Jane (Howes) Overholser. He graduated from Lagro (IN) High School in 1962 and he graduated with honors from Ivy Tech where he received an AS Degree in Computer Programming in 1994. On November 19, 1967 he married L. Anne McClain. He was employed at Manchester University for 9 years and at CDS, Fort Wayne, IN as a computer programmer from 1992-1996. He was an Army veteran serving in Vietnam. Richard was a member of the American Legion Post #286, North Manchester, IN and Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren, Liberty Mills, IN. He was a staunch conservative and loved sports. He is survived by his wife, L. Anne Overholser, North Manchester, IN; two daughters, Vontellia S. Robbins, Warsaw, IN and Alta Jane Overholser, Peru, IN; two brothers, Robert (Ginny) Overholser, Huntington, IN and Mark (Rhonda) Overholser, Huntintgton, IN; one sister, Wilma (John) Litchenberger, Rwen, OH; five grandchildren, Geoffrey Fugate, Michigan City, IN, Andrew Robbins & Jordan Robbins, Warsaw, IN, Audrey Grace Overholser, Peru, IN and Kayla Enyart, Huntington, IN; three great grandchildren, Aurie Martin, Ryder Randol & Dayton Fugate all of Huntington, IN. two brothers, John & Harold Overholser and one sister, Mary Ellen Bitner, are deceased.
