Rex E. Lynch

Rex E. Lynch, 88, Claypool, IN died at 9:37 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in his residence. He was born July 20, 1921 in Silver Lake, IN to Jesse F. & Doris I. (Young) Lynch. He was a 1941 Laketon High School graduate and served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Rex was a lifelong farmer and retired in 1986 from Peabody Manufacturing Co., North Manchester, IN after several years of service. He was a member of the former South Whitley VFW Post 2919. On March 1, 1953 he married Mary K. Merritt. She died April 4, 2009. He is survived by one son, Edward E. Lynch, Claypool, IN; one daughter, Jane A. (William) Helblig, Warsaw, IN; one sister, Nancy (Richard) Kerlin, Silver Lake, IN and three grandchildren, Jennica, Dustin and Eric Helblig, all of Warsaw, IN. He was preceeded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Services will be Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, IN. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate.
