Rev. Raymon E. Eller

Rev. Raymon E. Eller, 102, North Manchester, IN died at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. He was born at Salem, Virginia on March 31, 1910 to C.E. & Rebecca Martha (Henry) Eller. On June 13, 1937 he married Rev. AnnaBelle Whitmer. She died August 4, 2004. Surviving are three sons; Stanley W. (Margaret Duston) Eller, Manchester, Maine; Jerry R. (Jan) Eller, Merritt Island, Florida; Rufus E. (Kathleen) Eller, Haw River, North Carolina. One daughter, Mrs. James (Rebecca Ann) Replogle, Bridgewater, Virginia. Eight grandchildren, Shawn (Alison) Flory Replogle, Heather (Eric) Barkey, Allyson Eller, Emily (Sait Mboob) Eller, Jessica (Christopher Fitze) Eller, Jaime (Edward Scott) Eller, Jodi (Matthew) Keene. Eight great-grandchildren, Adin, Caleb, Tessa & Simon Replogle; Martin & Arthur Eller Fitze; Liam & Ethan Eller Scott. Four brothers and five sisters are deceased. Raymon was a retired clergyman with the Church of the Brethren seving in Schoolfield, VA; Bassett, VA; Dundalk, MD; Richmond, VA; York, PA; Gettysburg, OH; Wichita, KS; and Akron, OH. In 1993 he received the Outstanding Service Award from Bridgewater College. He was a member of International Poetry Society and wrote poetry which has been published in many books including a book of poems and proverbs published in July 2001. His poetry is in the Library of Congress and Raymon is listed in Who's Who in Religion. He completed seven interim pastorates since 1980. He was a member of Church Choirs, Bethany Theological Seminary Male Quartet in 1936 and Manchester Church of the Brethren. He was a tour host to Bible lands and Europe six times. Services March 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Manchester Church of the Brethren, 1306 Beckley Street, North Manchester, IN. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Rev. Shawn Flory Replogle and Pastor Kurt Borgmann will officiate. Burial March 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem, VA. For those who wish to honor the memory of Rev. Raymon E.
