Randy K. Day, 58, North Manchester, IN died at 1:31 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 in Huntington County, IN. He was born February 20, 1953 in Wabash County, IN to Gene & Barbara (Meyer) Day. On December 1, 1979 he married Garnet L. Wilson. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Joshua Day, Tennessee; three daughters, Melony Andritsch, South Bend, IN; Chesney (Ryan) France, Roann, IN; Bree (Chuck) Cannon, Ft. Wayne, IN. Ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Two brothers, Rodney Day, North Manchester, IN and Rick Day, Peru, IN. One daughter is deceased. Randy was a former manager at Hi-Grade Egg at North Manchester and a self employed sheep sheerer. He was a Manchester High School graduate, a member of the American Legion Post # 402, Laketon, IN and a US Marine veteran serving during Vietnam. He is survived by numerous foster children and was a foster parent for over 30 years. He was a wonderful foster parent at White's Residential & Family Services, Wabash, IN. Services will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Christian Heritage Church, 7667 S. River Road, Wabash, IN. Friends and family may call at the church on Tuesday, March 8 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Pastor Tim Prater will officiate and burial with military rites will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.
