Phyllis E. Montel, 85, North Manchester, IN died at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2013 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. She was born December 8, 1927 in North Manchester, IN to Alvin & Orpha (Weller) Bolinger. She graduated from Chester High School, North Manchester, IN class of 1946. On January 11, 1948 she married F. Earl Montel. Phyllis was a homemaker, an Avon Representative for several years and a custom seamstress. She and her husband, Earl, were co-owners of Montel Livestock Equipment, North Manchester, IN for several years. She attended First Brethren Church, North Manchester, IN. Phyllis loved life and was dedicated to caring for her family. She is survived by her husband, F. Earl Montel, North Manchester, IN; two daughters, Karen Sue (Walter) Burns, North Manchester, IN and Kathy Ann (Charles) Douglass, North Manchester, IN; one brother, Ralph (Gloria) Bolinger, North Manchester, IN; seven grandchildren, Shelly Leifer (David) Cunningham, North Manchester, IN, Greg (Jill) Caudill, Fort Wayne, IN, Chad Allen, North Manchester, IN, Amy Jo Allen, Warsaw, IN, Shane (Kim) Burns, Wabash, IN, Doug (Andrea) Douglass, Huntington, IN and Brian (Sara) Douglass, Huntington, IN; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Two brothers are deceased. Family and friends may call Friday, August 9, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut Street, North Manchester, IN. Services Friday, August 9, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut Street, North Manchester, IN. Pastor J. P. Freeman and Pastor Kurt Stout will officiate.
