Florence Pauline Hapner, 99, North Manchester, IN died at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Peabody Healthcare Center. She was born January 6, 1911 in Wabash County, IN to Jonathan & Mary Effie (Forsythe) Grossnickle. On November 30, 1929 she married Hugo Carl Hapner. He died March 30, 1973. She was a homemaker and worked at Heckman Bindery, North Manchester, IN for 10 years. Pauline was a member of Manchester Church of the Brethren and a former member of WWII Mothers. She enjoyed gardening and her flower gardens. Pauline was a very beloved mother and grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Russell W. (Jo Ann) Hapner, Wabash, IN and Gene Hapner, North Manchester, IN; 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Three sons, Richard Hapner, Dean Hapner and Robert Hapner and three daughters, Lois Wilcox, Sharon Michael and Barbara Ousley are deceased. Four brothers, five sisters and one grandchild are also deceased. SERVICES WILL BE MONDAY, MARCH 1, 2010 AT 2:00P.M. AT MCKEE MORTUARY, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN. FRIENDS AND FAMILY MAY CALL SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2010 FROM 2:00-5:00 P.M. AT MCKEE MORTUARY. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Pauline Hapner, memorial contributions may be made to Peabody Caring Circle, 400 W. Seventh Street, North Manchester, IN 46962.
