O. Joan Rule

O. Joan Rule, 90, Fort Wayne, IN formerly of North Manchester, IN died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in The Heritage of Fort Wayne, IN. She was born November 19, 1924 in Larwill, IN to Herman Ray & Grace (Metzger) Fultz. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1942. On December 12, 1943 she married Junior W. Rule. He died April 6, 2004. Joan was a homemaker and worked at Heckman Bindery, North Manchester, IN for 16 years. She retired in 1988. She was a member of Eel River Community Church of the Brethren, Silver Lake, IN. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She is survived by one son, Jim (Trudy) Rule, North Manchester, IN; one daughter, Joyce (Jery) Nelson, Fort Wayne, IN; one sister, Arloene Metzger, North Manchester, IN; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. One son, Jerry Rule, died in 2010 and one great grandchild is also deceased. Family & friends may call Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Services Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Eel River Community Church of the Brethren, 2507 East State Road 14, Silver Lake, IN. Dr. David Biberstein will officiate. Burial will be in Ulrey Memorial Cemetery, Silver Lake, IN.
