Norman L. Greene

Norman L. Greene, 84, Roann, IN died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. in his residence. He was born May 16, 1926 in North Manchester, IN to Lawrence & Rosetta (Sebring) Greene. He was a 1944 Sidney High School Graduate, Sidney, IN. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving from 1944-1946 - 84th Infantry Division - Germany - Battle of the Bulge. He was a self employed auto mechanic in North Manchester, IN for several years, employed at Heckman Bindery for 5 years and employed at Indiana Lawrence Bank in the maintenance department 1978 until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of Rail Splitter Association. On August 3, 1946 he married Madelyn R. Knoop. She survives. He is also survived by one son, Mikel (Patty) Greene, Barbee Lake, Pierceton, IN; five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. One brother and one sister are deceased. Graveside services will be Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley Street, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate.
