Nila D. Fawcett, 100, North Manchester, IN died at 7:05 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2015 in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. She was born September 1, 1914 in Petroleum, IN to Lewis & Chella (Schooley) Burgess. On June 2, 1940 she married Paul W. Fawcett. He died November 25, 1990. She graduated from Petroleum High School, Petroleum, IN. She was a homemaker and employed with Controls Corporation of America for 10 years and was co-owner with her husband of several eating establishments thru the years. She is survived by two sons, Larry (Karen) Fawcett, North Manchester, IN and Bob (Karen) Fawcett, North Manchester, IN; one daughter, Paula (Frank) Mossberger, Tuscon, AZ; one daughter-in-law, Patricia Fawcett, South Whitley, IN; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. One son, Allen, died in October 1994. Family and friends may call Thursday, February 5, 2015 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Peabody Chapel, 400 West Seventh Street, North Manchester, IN and Thursday, February 5, 2015 5:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Service at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2015 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Nila D.
