Nathanial D. Cain, 20, North Manchester, IN died 3:25 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City, IN. He was born January 20, 1990 in Marion, Indiana to Brian D. & Darla R. (Ayres) Cain. His parents survive at North Manchester, IN. Also surviving are a brother, Noah B. Cain, North Manchester; a sister Natalee R. Cain, North Manchester; a step brother, Nicholas B. Cain, Sweetser, IN; maternal grandparents, James & Connie Ayres, Marion, IN; paternal grandparents, David & Jane Cain, Marion, IN; maternal great-grandmother, Eulah Beck, Marion, IN; paternal great-grandmother, Mary Hoke, Fairmount, IN; aunts and uncles, Sherri Heinzen, Gas City, IN; Vicki Ludlow, Marion, IN; Debra (Rodney) McClain, Swayzee, IN; Dennis (Chastity) Ayres, Marion, IN and six first cousins. Nate was a 2008 graduate of Manchester High School where he was on the tennis team for four years, swim team for three years, track team for two years, golf team for two years and played basketball one year. He was an avid weight lifter, a life guard at the Manchester Community Pool and he and his family were members of the North Manchester Merchants softball team. He was currently employed with the North Manchester Parks & Recreation Department and New Market at North Manchester. He had previously worked at HF Group, North Manchester. He gave private swimming lessons to many area children and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He attended Ball State University for two years and was a member of First Brethren Church, North Manchester. Services will be held Friday, July 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Thursday, July 29, from 2 - 8 p.m. at McKee Mortuary. Pastor Kurt Stout will officiate the services and burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley Street, North Manchester, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Nathanial D. Cain, memorial contributions may be made to the North Manchester Parks & Recreation Department, P.O. Box 252, North Manchester, IN 46962.
