Nancy A. Hoerdt

Nancy A. Hoerdt, 71, died Thursday, March 15, 2012 at her residence in North Manchester, IN. She was born August 31, 1940 in Andrews, IN to Roy & Evelyn (Rehak) Huston. She graduated from Andrews High School, Andrews, IN. On December 20, 1958 she married Gerald L. Hoerdt. He died May 29, 1992. Nancy was a homemaker and served as lieutenant for North Manchester Police Dept. Reserves for several years. She began a 30 year health care career as an EMT and later was a CNA at Peabody and Timbercrest Retirement Communities both of North Manchester, IN. Her passion was her family and her black labs. She is survived by one son, Jerry (Kathie) Hoerdt, North Manchester, IN; two daughters, Kay (Steve) Snipes, North Manchester, IN and Debra St. Clair, Wabash, IN; one sister, Sally (Robert) Flora, Culver, IN; five grandchildren, Kristin James, Trevor Hoerdt, Justin Hoerdt, Garrett Hoerdt and Colton St. Clair; and one great granddaughter, Kennedy James. One brother is deceased. Family and friends may call Monday, March 19, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 p.m.at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Services will be Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Pastor Chad McAtee will officiate.
