Nancy Lee Benton

Nancy Lee Benton, 75, North Manchester, IN died at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester. She was born February 27, 1937 in Middlebury, IN to Franklin & Florence (Plank) Mishler. She graduated from Middlebury High School and Manchester College with an Associate Degree in business. Nancy was the director and pre-school teacher at Sycamore Pre-school, North Mancester for 20 years. She was a member of First Brethren Church, North Manchester and sang in the choir and played in the bell choir. She loved her family and her former students. On August 24, 1957 she married Ledford Benton. He survives in North Manchester, IN. She is also survived by three sons, Mike (Tori) Benton, Middlebury, IN, Barry Benton, Garrett, IN and Mark (Kelly) Benton, North Manchester, IN; one daughter, Jeri (Dave) Lehman, North Manchester, IN; one sister, Judy (Jack) Kortie, Middlebury, IN; five grandchildren, five step grandchildren and eleven step great grandchildren. One sister is deceased. Family and friends may call Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Service Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.
