Maxine Kiser

Maxine Kiser, 89, North Manchester, IN died at 8:05 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009 in Peabody Healthcare Center. She was born at Converse, Indiana on October 12, 1920 to Elzworth & Nancy Jane (Knotts) Weimer. On April 9, 1939 she married Walter E. Kiser. He died March 17, 1997. She was a 1938 graduate of Somerset High School, a former member of the Jolly Janes Home-Ec Club, and a member of Eel River Community Church of the Brethren, Silver Lake. She was employed at Heckman Bindrey and Manchester Veterinary Clinic. She retired in 2000 after 28 years as a secretary for the libraries at Laketon & Manchester Elementary Schools. Surviving are three sons, Phillip (Patti) Kiser, Provo, Utah; Stephen (Trish) Kiser, Baltimore, Maryland; Patrick Kiser, Indianapolis, Indiana. One daughter, Rebecca (Ken) Vanderpool, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. One daughter and four sisters are deceased. SERVICES WILL BE HELD THURSDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2009 AT 11:00 A.M. IN MCKEE MORTUARY, 1401 STATE ROAD 114 WEST, NORTH MANCHESTER, INDIANA. FRIENDS AND FAMILY MAY CALL ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16, FROM 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. AT THE MORTUARY. Pastor Andrew Sampson and Haley Brandenburg will officiate and burial will follow at Mississinewa Cemetery, Somerset, Indiana.
