Mary M. Montel, 94, North Manchester, IN died at 7:12 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, IN. She was born August 8, 1919 in White County, IN to John & Ruth (Anderson) Callahan. On September 25, 1942 she married Lamoin A. Montel. He died April 1, 1999. Mary worked at Peabody Retirement Community, Bryan Manufacturing, Singer Controls Co., Heckman Bindery, all at North Manchester and retired from Timbercrest Senior Living Community food service. She was a member of Eel River Community Church of the Brethren, Silver Lake, IN and Ivy Chapter #69 Order of Eastern Star, North Manchester, IN. She is survived by one son, Gary (Dee) Montel, North Manchester, IN; one sister, Berdene Azbell, Rochester, IN; two grandchildren, Beth (Dennis) Beckner, Columbia City, IN & Barth (Angie) Montel, Bluffton, OH and four great grandchildren. Five brothers and two sisters are deceased. Family and friends may call Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN. Service Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN. Pastor Dennis Beckner will officiate.
