Mary Jane "Janie" Engle, 74, North Manchester, IN, died at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. She was born July 27, 1936 in North Manchester, IN to Clarence & Josephine (Hare) Middleton. She graduated from Central High School, North Manchester, IN class of 1954. On February 26, 1984 she married Francis Glen Engle. Janie worked at Controls, North Manchester, IN for 34 years retiring in 1998. She was a member of Congregational Christian Church, Women of the Moose #866 and American Legion Auxiliary Post 286 all of North Manchester, IN. She is survived by her husband, Francis Glen Engle, North Manchester, IN; one son, Steven Ulrey, Indianapolis, IN; one daughter, Jo Beth (Steve) Swisher, North Manchester, IN; two step sons, Glen Edwin (Beth) Engle, North Manchester, IN and Craig Allen Engle, Wabash, IN; two grandchildren, three step grandchildren, one great grandchild and four step great grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased. Services will be Monday, November 1, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, IN. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.
