Mary L. "Sue" Burgess

Mary L. "Sue" Burgess, 75, North Manchester, IN died at 8:26 p.m. September 30, 2011 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born April 2, 1936 at Clinton County, Illinois to David & Mildred (Vance) Taylor. On May 21, 1954 she married James Andrew Burgess. He died June 17, 2003. Sue was a homemaker and Certified Nursing Assistant at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, IN for 27 years. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, North Manchester. Surviving are four sons, Doug (Cherie) Burgess, Ft. Wayne, IN; Dan (Connie) Burgess, North Manchester, IN; Dave (Dee) Burgess, Tampa, FL; Mike (Trisha Hockemeyer) Burgess, Ft. Wayne, IN. A daughter, Pam (Wayne) Fisher, Zionsville,IN. Four brothers, Bob (Geneva) Taylor, Don (Karen) Taylor, Harold (Judy) Taylor, and Tom (Sue) Taylor, all of Goshen, IN. Two sisters, Joan (Wendell) Clifton, DeLand, IL and Judy Frieby, Elkhart, IN. Eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her parents and two brothers are deceased. Services will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Christian Fellowship Church, 1002 State Road 114 East, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Pastor Eddie Akins will officiate and burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.
