Margaret R. Cartwright

Margaret R. Cartwright, 68, Knightstown, IN and formerly of North Manchester, IN died at 9:40 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 in Knightstown, IN. She was born at Wabash, IN on September 15, 1945 to Marion "Bud" & Esther Berniece (Shewman) Ireland Jr. A homemaker, she had also worked at Bryan Manufacturing and Timbercrest Senior Living Community, both at North Manchester. Margaret was a 1965 graduate of Manchester High School and attended Liberty Mills United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Marion Lee Vartwright, Knightstown, IN and John Henry Cartwright, North Manchester. A daughter, Bernice Arlene (Robert) Combs, North Manchester. Two brothers, Gordon Ireland, North Manchester and Marion "Buddy" Ireland, Wabash, IN. Four sisters, Ruth DeTurk and Mary Dryden, both of North Manchester; Melinda Johnson, Estero, FL and Maria Ireland, Indiana. Sixteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Her parents and one brother are deceased. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, IN.
