Mable E. Hicks

Mable E. Hicks, 91, Silver Lake, IN died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in her residence. She was born November 9, 1923 in Garrett, KY to William Wade and Lura (Stafford) Moore. She married Bert Hicks and he died May 17, 2004. Mable was a homemaker and member of Irene Cole Baptist Church, Prestonsburg, KY. She was an avid shopper and loved spending time with her family. She also loved to talk on the telephone an word searches. She also had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She is survived by one son, David D. (Barbara) Hicks, North Manchester, IN; two daughters, Lura Dean (Abe) Shepherd, Silver Lake, IN and Dodie (Tom) Clifton, Winter Garden, FL; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and thirty-two great great grandchildren. One brother, William Wade Moore II and three sisters, Opal Bolin, Grace Moore and Glenna Moore are deceased. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, IN.
