Mabel Colleen Brown

Mabel Colleen Brown, 84, formerly of North Manchester, IN died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 1:10 p.m. at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour, IN. She was born August 16, 1925 in North Manchester, IN to John J. & Rhuea M. (Roberts) Heeter. She graduated from Chester High School, North Manchester, IN class of 1943. On June 4, 1945 she married Rex W. Weitzel. He died April 17, 1962. She then married Arden B. Metzger on November 16, 1968. He died May 29, 1994. She then married Dale Brown on November 18, 1995. He died October 10, 2008. She was a homemaker and a 50 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, North Manchester, IN. She is survived by five daughters, Sandra (Donald) Becker, Minden, NE, Becky (Frank) McClelland, Elkhart, IN, Barbara (Roy) King, Freetown, IN, Sheryl (Ned) Bowman, North Manchester, IN and Carol (Muncie) Hawks, Fancy Gap, VA; one sister, Edna Landis, North Manchester, IN; fourteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters are deceased. Services will be Monday, March 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN. Calling will be Monday, March 8, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary. Rev. Donald Becker will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.
