M. Louise Metzger

M. Louise Metzger, 97, Claypool, IN died at 12:40 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015 in her residence. She was born September 2, 1918 in Lake Township, Kosciusko County, IN to Ernest & Hazel (Ditton) Penrod. On January 14, 1939 she married Eldred M. Metzger. He died June 30, 2014. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the former Junction 13 & 14 Service Station, Sidney, IN. Louise was a member of Eel River Community Church of the Brethren, Silver Lake, IN where she taught kindergarten Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed refinishing furniture. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Smith, Fort Wayne, IN; three grandchildren, Mark (Tammi) Smith, Huntertown, IN, Brian (Patricia) Smith, Garrett, IN and Dawn (Kevin) Nofzinger, Garrett, IN; Nine great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. Three brothers, Harold, Ernest Jr. & Wilbur Penrod and three sisters, Maxine Ruppel, Ruth Latham & Betty Gilmore are deceased. Family and friends may call Monday, December 28, 2015 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. A member of the Pastor Team at Eel River Community Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.
