Lucile Irene Kinsley, 97, North Manchester, IN died at 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. She was born at Franklin Grove, IL on April 13, 1913 to Oliver (O.D.) & Anna (Stutzman) Buck. On June 25, 1935 she married Evan Kinsley. He survives. Also surviving are three sons; Dale (Cheryll) Kinsley, Bellingham, WA; Kenneth (Karen) Kinsley, Monticello, MN; Gerald (Cindy) Kinsley, Rockford, IL. A daughter, Joyce Mann, Chico, CA. Eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother. Lucile graduated from Franklin Grove (IL) High School in 1930 and Manchester College in 1934. She was an elementary school teacher retiring in 1974. From 1965-1967 she and her husband served the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria as educational missionaries. She was a member of the Manchester Church of the Brethren, Manchester College Community Club, North Manchester Women's Club, Wabash County Retired Teachers Association and the North Manchester Shepherd's Center. She was an active volunteer at One World Handcrafts in North Manchester. Services will be held February 19, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are entrusted to McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Pastor Kurt Borgmann and Pastor Karen Eberly will officiate, and burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Dixon, IL. For those who wish to honor the memory of Lucile I. Kinsley, memorial contributions may be made to the Evan & Lucile Kinsley Scholarship Fund at Manchester College, 604 E. College Ave., North Manchester, IN 46962 or Timbercrest Senior Living Community, PO Box 501, North Manchester, IN 46962.
