Luann (Miller) Greene

LuAnn Greene, 67, North Manchester and formerly of Akron, passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2023, at her home. Born on September 5, 1955, in Rochester, LuAnn was the daughter of Jack and Norma “Jeanie” (Hoffman) Miller.

After graduating from Akron High School in 1973, LuAnn began working at Eaton/Controls until the business closed, which began a new chapter in LuAnn’s life. She enrolled at Ivy Tech, where she obtained an associate degree in Computer Science. For the next seven years she worked at Huck’s Gas Station, where she met those who entered with a smile.

LuAnn loved her children dearly and was always supportive of their needs. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren, playing games and being the best grandma. No one could match the love she had for each of them. Simply put, her grandchildren were her life. When LuAnn found time for herself, she loved to cross stitch, crochet, and play computer games. She also had a special ability to fix things around her house and enjoyed vacationing in Tennessee.

The loving memory of LuAnn Greene will be forever cherished by her daughter, Stacy Michelle Stafford, North Manchester; son, Jason Russell Stafford, North Manchester; three grandchildren; stepmother, Sharon Miller, Akron; and one stepsister. LuAnn was preceded in death by her father, Jack Miller; mother, Norma “Jeanie” Daine; and step-father, Cleotis Daine.

Friends and family may call Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester.

The family of LuAnn Greene has entrusted McKee Mortuary with care and final arrangements.
