Louise Jones, 88, North Manchester, IN departed to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at 11:05 p.m. at the home of her daughter. Because of her belief that Jesus Christ died for her sins, was buried, and rose again, Louise was assured of her home in Heaven. She was born September 9, 1922 at Wilkes-Barre, PA to William & Sara (Edwards) Dobson. On May 13, 1944 she married Roland R. Jones. He died April 4, 2006. Surviving are three daughters, Sandra (Dale) Spurbeck, Forrest Grove, OR; Sheila (Andrew) Gathany, North Manchester, IN; Sharon (James) Chaney, Englewood, CO as well as a nephew, George (Sally) Jones, Santa Cruz, CA whom she loved as her own. A. brother, William (Charlene) Dobson, Brentwood, CA and a sister, Lenore Cooper, Walnut Creek, CA. Louise graduated from Hanover Township (PA) High School and Wilkes-Barre (PA) General Hospital School of Nursing. A homemaker and registered nurse, she worked at the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She had served her church as organist, Sunday School teacher and director of the children's choir. Services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in Faith Baptist Church, 1303 State Road 13, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call at the church one hour prior to services. Pastor Andrew Gathany will officiate and burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.
