Lois Jane Singleton

Lois Jane Singleton, 86, North Manchester, IN died at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 in Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born at Windfall, Indiana on January 8, 1926 to Darrell & Wilma (Smith) Clouser. On November 4, 1947 she married Arnold K. Singleton. He died November 13, 1986. Lois had worked at Peabody Retirement Community and Heckman Bindrey, both at North Manchester and General Electric and A.F. Billings Flowers & Gifts, both at Wabash. After retirement she was busy as a homemaker. She attended the North Manchester United Methodist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Steve (Patricia) Angel, Plymouth, IN; Mrs. Michael (Connie) Sherer, Topeka, KS; Mrs. Paul (Janice) Nichols, North Manchester, IN; Nancy Singleton, Wabash, IN. A brother, Clifford Clouser, Ft. Myers, FL and two sisters, Mrs. Glen (Helen) Dodson, Kokomo, IN and Mrs. Jack (Ruth) Boyer, North Webester, IN. Five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One sister, Alice Bartoo is deceased. Services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary. Rev. Kevin DeKoninck will officiate and burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley Street, North Manchester, IN.
