Lois I. Hill

Lois I. Hill, 94, North Manchester, IN, formerly of Roann and Laketon areas, died at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, IN. She was born September 22, 1917 in Miami County, IN to Victor & Flossie M. (Fouts) Long. She graduated from Chili High School, Chili, IN. Lois was a member of First Brethren Church, North Manchester, IN. She enjoyed embroidery, quilting and working in her yard. One of her greatest enjoyments was sitting in her glider on her front porch and visiting with all of her neighbors. On August 8, 1936 she married Gordon Achey. He died October 12, 1970. She then married Forrest Hill on October 26, 1974. He died April 9, 2004. She is survived by one step son, Ted (Faith) Hill, North Manchester, IN; cousins, Leo & Mary Lou Cozzolino, Clinton, IA and Betty Parson, North Manchester, IN; close friend, Elizabeth Learned, North Manchester, IN; one step grandchild, four step great grandchildren and one step great great grandchild. One step grandchild is deceased. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Chili Cemetery, Chili, IN. Pastor J. P. Freeman officiating.
