Lewis D. Horner

Lewis D. Horner, 75, Wabash, Indiana died at 2:26 a.m. Sunday, November 18, 2012 in Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born at Elwood, Indiana on November 7, 1937 to Marvin & Harriett (Detzer) Horner. On July 6, 2005 he married Virginia Kay Salyers. She died October 29, 2011. Surviving are a son, Anthony Horner, Lebanon, OR and a daughter, Petina Bergara, Odessa, TX. Three grandchildren, Joshua Bergara and Angelique Bergara, Odessa, TX and Daniel Horner, Lebanon, OR. Three sisters, Rosalee Moore, Wabash, IN; Sally Music, Lagro, IN; Mattie Thompson, Oregon. Lewis retired from Roseburg Lumber Co. in Oregon where he worked for over 20 years and attended Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church, Wabash, IN. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, 1100 Manchester Ave., Wabash, IN. To honor Mr. Horner's wishes, there is no visitation at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN.
