Lewis A. Gale, 84, North Manchester, IN died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, IN. He was born October 31, 1931 in Whitley County, IN to Clay & Eva (Betzner) Gale. On October 28, 1954 he married LaDonna Steele. He worked for Whitley County Highway Dept. for 27 years, retiring in 1981. He then worked for Manchester Tool & Die for 12 years, retiring in 1993. He was also a self employed farmer for many years. He enjoyed trains and tinkering with his tractors. He and his wife took several train trips out west. He also enjoyed going to tractor shows. He is survived by his wife, LaDonna Gale, North Manchester, IN; two sons, Richard (Penni) Gale, North Manchester, IN and Mark (Laura) Gale, North Manchester, IN; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. One son, one daughter, one brother and one sister are deceased. Family & friends may call Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Services will be Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Rev. Gene Kinney will officiate.
