Leonard L. Hileman

Leonard L. Hileman, 62, Wabash, IN died at 9:05 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 in his residence. He was born June 2, 1951 in Wabash, IN to Leonard L. & Evelyn B. (Schultz) Hileman. He graduated from Wabash High School in 1969 and served in the US Army 82nd Airborne Division from 1971-1977. He worked at the Laketon Refinery for 20 years and was then employed at Warsaw Plating Works and retired from AM General, Mishwaka, IN in 2011. Lenny was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and also enjoyed watching IU Hoosier basketball games. He loved to travel and camp and spent many summer days on his Harley Davidson. Lenny was quick witted with a sharp sense of humor and always had a good joke to share. He spent many nights relaxing with his family and friends around a campfire sharing stories and laughing, often with Jimmy Buffet in the background. On September 10, 2012 he married Trysh J. Von Stetina. She survives. He is also survived by one son, Ryne E. (Sandra) Hileman, Akron, IN; four daughters, Melissa L. (Shannon) Carter, North Manchester, IN, Stephanie A. (Harry) Bekel, Wabash, IN, Rebecca N. (Billy) Tolson, Wabash, IN and Meghann L. (Brian) Foust, North Manchester, IN; two brothers, Ronnie (Aleda) Hileman, Summersville, WV and Donnie Hileman, Summersville, WV and nineteen grandchildren. Memorial service will be April 14, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at American Legion Post #402, Troyer Road, Laketon, IN. Family & friends may call April 14, 2014 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. and immediately following the service at American Legion Post #402, Troyer Road, Laketon, IN. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate.
