Kent Mccullough

November 22, 1977 — November 20, 2022

South Whitley

Kent McCullough, 44, South Whitley, Indiana, passed away on November 20, 2022 in the Supportive Care Unite at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, from injuries sustained from an accident on October 10, 2022. The son of Earl McCullough and Shirley (Lawson) Young, Kent was born in Logansport, Indiana, on November 22, 1977.

Kent moved to Florida at an early age and enjoyed his time in the sun. He graduated from Port St. Joe Junior-Senior High School in 1996 and attended the University of West Florida. In 2001 Kent enlisted in the United States Army and served his country proudly for the next five years.

After being honorably discharged from the Army, Kent worked a few jobs before returning to college to obtain a degree to become a medical assistant from Ivy Tech and Grace College in Warsaw. He worked as a Certified Medical Assistant for Lutheran Medical Group for the last seven years and loved his job, colleagues, and patients. On May 28, 2011, Kent married his better half, Holly Snyder. Though their time together was cut short, the two made a lifetime of memories.

Kent was a funny and giving person who made friends with everyone who crossed his path. He had a fondness for all animals and enjoyed the company of his five cats. Most of all, however, he was a loving father who delighted in spending time with his two daughters, Skye and Jade. Kent enjoyed relaxing by watching the Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys. He had a passion for the paranormal and loved visiting new places and haunted locations.

The loving memory of Kent McCullough will be forever cherished by his father, Earl McCullough, Logansport; mother, Shirley Young, Port St. Joe, Florida; wife, Holly McCullough, South Whitley; daughters, Skye and Jade McCullough, North Manchester; brothers, Jeff (Janice) McCullough, Terre Haute, Matthew (Sarah) McCullough, Nashville, Tennessee, Richard McCullough, Logansport, and Joseph (Angela) Parker, Ozark, Alabama; sisters, Brittani McCullough, Logansport, Cathy McCullough, Logansport, Christy (Jeff) Gum, Terre Haute, and Theresa McCullough, Logansport; and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Kent was preceded in death by his step-father, Joe Young, and step-mother, Peggy McCullough.
