Kenneth C. Zinsmeister, 48, Winona Lake, Indiana died at 12:12 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 at his residence. He was born at Wabash, Indiana on September 8, 1961 to Charles Edward & Janice (Oswalt) Zinsmeister. His father survives at San Pierre, IN and his mother and step father, Janice (Ted) Rose, survive at North Manchester, IN. Also surviving are a son, Dylan R. Zinsmeister; two daughters, Jessica L. Zinsmeister and Amanda M. Zinsmeister, all of South Whitley, IN. Three sisters, Julia (Bill) Simpson, Wabash, IN; Sheryl A. (Rob) O'Brien, Lee, MA; Marla (Jim) Slone, North Manchester, IN. A brother, Hoa Vo, North Manchester, IN. A step brother, Mark (Jamie) Rose, North Manchester, IN and two step sisters, Connie (Ken) Stephens, Mentone, IN and Karen (Ron) Brace, Claypool, IN. Nine nieces, seven nephews and four great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Franklin "Don" & Marietta Zinsmeister and Roland & Marquite Oswalt. Ken was a 1979 graduated of Manchester High School, and eight year employee of Buhrt Engineering at Warsaw, and attended Bethel Baptist Church at Pierceton, IN. He loved his children and enjoyed camping and karaoke singing. Services will be held Friday, March 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut Street, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Thursday, March 18, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the church and from 10 - 11 am Friday at the church. Pastor Jim Baughman will officiate and burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Kenneth Zinsmeister, the family would appreciate donations be made to the final expenses fund c/o McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN 46962.
