Junior S. Jackson, 90, Silver Lake, IN died at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 in his residence. He was born October 29, 1924 in Magoffin County, KY to Smith & Goldie (Ramey) Jackson. He married Thelma Shepherd on July 8, 1950. He retired after 38 years of service from Erie-Lackawana, Penn Central & Conrail Railroad Companies. Junior enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets, garage sales and being with people. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Jackson; one son, Henry "Hank" (Marcia) Jackson, North Manchester, IN; four daughters, Sharlene (Bob) Lewis, North Webster, IN, Nadene (George) Hunnicutt, Winchester, KY, Julene (Craig) Latham, North Manchester, IN and Luella (Alan) Earl, Argos, IN; one brother, Kelly (Lillie) Jackson, Wabash, IN; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Christine who died in 1989 and one grandchild. He was also preceded in death by nine brothers and five sisters. Family and friends may call Friday, January 23, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Services will be Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary. Pastor Dave Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, IN.
