Joe B. Stacy, 78, North Manchester, IN died at 9:45 a.m.Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. He was born March 1, 1933 at Decoy, KY to Perry & Margaret (Mullins) Stacy. On January 19, 1957 he married Marvelene Christoph. She survives. Also surviving are sons, M. Joe (Rita) Stacy, North Manchester, IN; Jerry (Tina) Stacy, Ft. Wayne, IN and a grandson they raised, Jeremy (Alicia) Stacy, Indianapolis, IN. A daughter, Jennifer Stacy, Huntington, IN. Five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two brothers, Perry Stacy, Lafayette, IN and Paul Stacy, Knox, IN. Two sisters, Gladys Stacy, Laporte, IN and Mrs. Don (Francis) Keister, Plymouth, IN. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a son Jeffrey P. Stacy who died in 1988, and two sisters. Joe was 1952 graduate of North Judson High School and a farmer retiring in 1995. He loved basketball and watching the sporting events of his children and grandchildren. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1952-1956 and a member of First Brethren Church, North Manchester. Services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 2 - 7 p.m. at McKee Mortuary and Saturday from 9-10 a.m. Graveside services and burial will be Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. (EDT) in Fletcher Cemetery, Hamlet, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of Joe B. Stacy, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 6415 Castleway W. Drive, Suite 114, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
