Jeanie Sue Shepherd, 58, North Manchester, IN died at 8:38 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 in Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born at Owingsville, KY on October 21, 1952 to Ewell & Mary Alice (Withrow) Purvis. On April 12, 1978 she married Ray Shpeherd. He survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Melinda Alice (Thomas) Roberts, North Manchester, IN. Five brothers, William Staton, Herman Staton, Jimmy Purvis, all of North Manchester,IN. David Purvis, Owingsville, KY; Kenny Purvis, Servia, IN. A sister, Ann Francis Staton, Kentucky. Two grandchildren. One brother is deceased. Jeanie was a 1973 graduate of Bath County (KY) High School, a homemaker and member of The Wabash Congregation Of The Jehovah's Witnesses, Wabash, IN. Services will be Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Friends and family may call on Monday, Septmebr 26, 2011 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary. Rev. Sue Babovec will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley Street, North Manchester, IN.
