Janet L. Walters

Janet L. Walters, 54, Sebring, FL formerly of North Manchester, IN passed away at 8:50 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Good Shepherd Hospice Home, Sebring, Florida. She was born to Harold Ray and Deloris (Greer) Walters on April 17, 1961 in Wabash County, Indiana. She graduated from Manchester High School, North Manchester, IN in 1979 and received an Associate Degree from Manchester College, North Manchester, IN in 1981. Janet moved to Sebring in May of 1981 and worked at SunTrust Bank and then at Highlands Independent Bank as a Loan Processor. She was very active at First Baptist Church of Avon Park and then later at Bethany Baptist Church also of Avon Park where she was in charge of the sound and media ministry. She was a wonderful and sweet person who touched many lives with her sweet and special spirit. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Janet is survived by her mother, Deloris Walters, North Manchester, IN; siblings, Joyce Walters, North Manchester, IN, Jeff (Julie) Walters, North Manchester, IN, Jenny (Tim) Taylor, North Manchester, IN and Jack (Tina) Walters, Goshen, IN; half siblings, Tim Walters, Silver Lake, IN, Jodi (Jason) Barrett, North Manchester, IN, Kelli (Jamie) Stroud, Roann, IN, Patty (Travis) Coburn, Sidney, IN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Walters. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. There will be a funeral service on Monday, October 12, 2015, 11:00am at Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren in Liberty Mills, IN. Pastor Charles Pausley and Pastor Kelly Beutler will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN. There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, October 17, 2015, 10:00am, at First Baptist Church in Avon Park, FL.
