James "Jim" Earl Schumaker Jr.

James “Jim” Earl Schumaker Jr., 66, North Manchester passed away October 10, 2019 at his residence. On July 30, 1953, Jim was born in Wabash, Indiana to James E. and Betty (Penrod) Schumaker Sr.

Jim was a man that was always willing to help those in need. He enjoyed various activities outside including: playing golf, camping, hunting, and riding his motorcycle. He was also tech savvy when it came to computers and cell phones. Jim graduated from Wabash High School in 1971. He was employed at General Tire until it closed then went to work at Dalton Foundries and later worked for Dana Corporation retiring after. He was a machine repair Journeyman and a member of the UAW.

James’s memory will be remembered in the hearts of; his companion of 38 years Jeannie Johnson, North Manchester, IN; his father and step mother, James E. (Irene) Schumaker Sr.; one brother Dennis Schumaker, Marion, IN; four step-brothers and one step-sister.

Family and friends may call Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating and burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Servia, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wabash County Animal Shelter, 810 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992.
