James E. Yaney Sr., 83, North Manchester, IN formerly of Fort Wayne, IN died on May 3, 2015 at 6:30 a.m. in his residence. He was born August 8, 1931 in Fort Wayne, IN to Sylvester & Eva (Lyons) Yaney. He served in the Army Med Corp in Korea 1953-1961. He retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools in 1992 after 26 years service. Served on the National Board of Korean War Veterans Association and was producer of television show "Tell America", Fort Wayne, IN. He attended Akron United Methodist Church, Akron, IN. He is survived by his companion, Dorothy Medley, North Manchester, IN; three sons, James (Teresa) Yaney Jr., Indianapolis, IN, Lon (Angel) Yaney, Pierceton, IN and Lynn (Melonie Christensen) Yaney, Kiln, MS; one daughter, Bernadette (Jon) Yaney-Clark, North Manchester, IN; four grandchildren, Jared Michael Christiansen, Kiln, MS, Tiffany Clark, North Manchester, IN, Brittani Kinnear, Lancaster, OH and Malicia Kinghorn, Lancaster, OH; two great grandchildren, Kenzi Zimmerman, Edgar, WI and Marissa Yaney, Wausau, WI. One son, Leslie Yaney, one grandson, James G. Yaney and three brothers, Joseph Wesley Yaney, Richard Yaney and Robert Yaney are deceased. Family and friends may call Friday, May 8, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Services Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate.
