James E. Rowe

James E. Rowe, 89, North Manchester, IN died at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. He was born February 17, 1925 in Woodworth, OH to Ernest & Ruth (Garver) Rowe. On June 11, 1949 he married Ruth H. Bendsen. She died May 13, 2012. He was a mathematics teacher at Manchester High School for 5 years, Illinois State for 10 years and Manchester College for 20 years. He retired in 1988. He was a member of of Manchester Church of the Brethren, North Manchester, IN. He is survived by one son, Kenneth J. (Bonnee) Rowe, Myrtle Beach, SC; two daughters, Karen J. (Randy) Roberts-Sare, North Manchester, IN & Kay J. (David) Shain, Pataskala, OH; one brother, John Otis (Wilma) Rowe, Penney Farms, FL; one sister, Mary Ellen Brent, Tucson, AZ; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Family and friends may call Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, IN. Services will be Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, IN. Pastor Kurt Borgmann and Pastor Karen Eberly will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester, IN. For those who wish to honor the memory of James E.
